THE PET OXYGEN KIT PROJECT, INC. - SOUTH CAROLINA
Our story began June 26, 2014 when a local NBC affiliate
aired the story of a house fire in Columbia, SC. Four large firemen working
quickly and efficiently, were able to resuscitate a cat that was found
unconscious and overcome with smoke in the house fire. This would not have
been possible, and they would not have been able to save “Soldier” without
the proper equipment.
After doing some detective work, we quickly learned that not all fire trucks have pet oxygen kits aboard. We have made it our mission to supply and equip every fire truck in all 46 counties in South Carolina with theses kits.
100% of all monies raised will go to purchase this “life or death” equipment. The kit that you purchase may save your own pet one day! These kits are reusable and can be used on cats, dogs, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, and many more small animals. Door decals alerting First Responders that pets are inside are also available for your home and are highly recommended by the Fire Department and EMS Services.
Please help us in this statewide endeavor and become a Sponsor today!

Dear Mary Ellen Tobias and Nena Sinclair,
Thank you so much for your very generous donation of 36 Pet Oxygen masks to the Lexington County Fire Service on March 22, 2016.
We can’t thank you enough for choosing to donate the masks to our department. Lexington County Fire Service responds to many situations in which family pets are involved. By supplying updated oxygen masks specifically designed for animals to all of our fire trucks you have helped us to provide an extended type of care for very important members of Lexington County families. Now not only can the fire fighters help save family pets from fires but they can also provide on scene emergency care that is vital to their survival.
We have since placed the masks on each truck throughout the county and are now prepared should we come across an animal in distress while responding to fire and emergency calls. The information booklets that you provided have also been placed at each station so that others may read up on your organization and understand how important these mask donations are.
While some may not even consider or recognize the importance of these pet oxygen masks, we certainly do. We greatly appreciate the donation and wish you continued success in supplying all fire stations in the surrounding areas with the masks.
With Kind Regards,
Chief Dean Anderson
Deputy Chief of Operations
Lexington County Fire Service
